Our Mission is to offer after school programs to at risk children of our community by instilling the necessary skills and training to become productive citizens.
OUR GOAL
One of our beliefs comes from an ancient African philosophy which is “It takes a village to raise a child”. For this reason we are compelled with open eyes and open hearts to do our part to provide shelter, teach, and develop our youth and build our community, so that our environment is a product of us and we are not a product of our environment. Our Goal is to have services and provide training, in the following areas:

W.O.P.E M.O.D.E History
W.O.P.E stands for Women Of Pure Essence and M.O.D.E stands for Men Of Divine Excellence. Originally WOPE MODE was just WOPE. The Founder Robin Thompson first started W.O.P.E as a result of wanting to help other women like her who have suffered abuse. So 1999 she started WOPE. Eventually, the young men in the community felt left out because they saw what she was doing for the girls, so they asked her if she could do something for them. So she formed M.O.D.E Men Of Divine Excellence. The rest is history...
